Easter is on its way! I love celebrating the resurrection of Jesus and reflecting on the amazing gift of salvation. I especially enjoy sharing this time of year with my children.
Some of my favorite Easter activities are decorating eggs, worshiping with other believers on Good Friday and Easter morning, watching my kids participate in our family egg hunt and reading stories about Easter from the Bible and children’s books.
If you are looking for some new Easter books to add to your collection then check out the books below. I hope you enjoy them as much as we do. Happy Easter!
Benjamin’s Box
Come along with Benjamin as he collects treasures for his box and learns about who Jesus really is.
The Very First Easter
A wonderful story with historical facts and beautiful pictures about the very first Easter.
Easter Surprise
My younger children enjoy reading this board book throughout the year. They love flipping open the flaps at just the right time in the story. A sweet story for young children.
The Legend of the Easter Egg
Another book with beautiful illustrations and a charming story about a boy who learns about Easter and the gift of salvation.
Easter Bunny, Are You For Real?
A helpful book for explaining to children how the Easter Bunny and other Easter traditions got incorporated into the celebration of Jesus’ resurrection.

I was trying to start thinking about books for Easter. Have you found any of these at a library?
Janelle Knutson says
Hi Elizabeth,
We own all of these Easter books so I never even looked to see if our local library has them. Let me know if you find them in the library!
